Information you give us. When you submit a voicemail, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The voicemail audio file you upload
• Your shipping address, if you choose to have your record mailed

The recording itself. Your voicemail may contain the voice, name, or other details of the person who left it. We treat everything in the recording as confidential and use it only to press your record.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our providers collect:

• Basic usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location based on IP address
• A bot-protection check through Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates signals from your browser to confirm you're a person
• Standard technical data (such as IP address) that any website receives when it serves a page or video

We do not collect payment information, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as government ID numbers.

We use your information only to run this experience:

• To press your voicemail onto a 7" vinyl record
• To manage the on-site line and let you know when your record is ready
• To ship your record, if you chose mail delivery
• To contact you about your order
• To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to understand how many people visit

We do not sell your information, use your recording or contact details for marketing, add you to Cricket or Argonaut mailing lists, or use your recording to train AI models or create voice profiles.

We share your information only with the service providers that help us make and deliver your record. Each may use it only for that purpose.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of people or the site.

We keep your recording and contact details only until your order is complete, and never past 30 days.

• After your record is picked up or shipped: within 24 hours, we automatically delete your recording and remove your name, email, phone number, and shipping address from our systems.
• If your order isn't completed: if a record isn't picked up or can't be shipped, we delete everything connected to it within 30 days.
• Backups: copies that remain briefly in our providers' backup systems are removed on their standard schedules, generally within 30 days. We do not access or restore them.
• What we keep: an order number, the date you submitted, and the date your data was deleted, so we can confirm deletion happened. This record does not identify you.

Please note: because we delete your recording once your record ships, we can't re-press or replace a record that is lost or damaged in transit.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies in your browser and collects the usage data described above. We have turned off Google's advertising features and do not use this data for targeted ads. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings. Cloudflare Turnstile may also use technical signals, but not advertising cookies, to check that you're a person.

We don't use advertising pixels or retargeting on this site.

Recordings are stored in private storage with no public access and are available only through access-controlled links used by our fulfillment team. Access to submission data is limited to the people running the experience, and that access is removed after the event. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and how long we keep it to reduce risk.

By uploading a voicemail, you confirm it was left for you and that you're comfortable having it pressed onto a record. Please don't upload recordings that were made without the speaker's knowledge where that's required by law, or that contain someone else's sensitive information.

Vinyl Voicemails is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has submitted a recording, contact us and we'll delete it.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date. We won't use information collected under this policy in a materially different way without telling you first.
